Lewis Muir

Lewis is from the Southwest UK and has always been into bikes as long as he can remember. His time riding began with making ramps from bricks and planks of wood which in the 90’s lead inevitably to the bikes getting destroyed. As a result it was as a young rider he started to learn everything that goes into repairing and maintaining bikes. Lewis went on to study sport and outdoor education at College and University which naturally led him to a life of instructing. He became a windsurf and sailing instructor working all over Europe before setting his sights back to the biking industry. Lewis worked as a guide for several years in Europe before moving back home to work as a technician. Having met and worked with some of the other Arbutus team members in Greece, he was convinced to come to Whistler and join our team in 2020. He is the envy of the workshop as his tool bench is always a work of art and by extension his work on any bike is of the same high quality.
