Rental Bookings

You can change or cancel your booking for any reason up to 24 hours before departure and we will refund your deposit.

We will refund your deposit back to the same credit card that you placed your booking with. To help us cover some of the costs (Credit Card fees) a 5% processing fee will be applied. This equals 5% of your deposit rather than the full invoice amount.
Please read our full Booking & Cancellation Policy here.

Yes, you can, but pricing will vary. Switching bikes will reset the start time of the rental.

For example, if I rent 3 different bikes for each day of my 3-day rental, I will be charged the “24-hour rate” three times and not the discounted “3-days+ rate” three times.
When a customer rents the same bike for a longer period of time, it reduces setup time, maintenance, and cleaning, which ultimately reduces our costs. Because our expenses decrease when a bike is rented for an extended period of time we can offer discounted rates. Consequently, if you rent several bikes, you won’t qualify for the discount.

We are happy to tailor your rental or tour to your needs. Please email us to get a personalized quote at info@arbuturoutes.com

  • Helmets: half-shell helmets for the trails and full-face helmets for the bike park or the trails.
  • Storage: leave your backpack, jackets, and extra shoes with us, we’ll keep them secured while you enjoy your ride.
  • Choose your pedals:
    • Flats: most common, we recommend you choose this option if you’re not sure what pedals you prefer.
    • Clipless: Shimano SPD Mountain, Crank Brother Mountain, Shimano SPD Road, Look Road.
    • Come with your own pedals, we’ll install them when you check in!
  • Accidental damage protection (optional): this option will remove the cost of repair for any accidental damage to our bikes or equipment. Intentional damage or misuse of Bicycles and Equipment will void the ADP policy.

Workshop

We offer a 35-point bike inspection from drivetrain wear to suspensions for free, at any time.
Simply come in with your bike and we’ll run you through a verbal report of the inspection’s results.

While it depends on how often you ride, many components have a set maintenance schedule.
Some parts need to be serviced before they show any signs of a problem, like your suspension. Waiting for problems to arise will be more costly and may leave you without a bike for a while.

  • Brake bleed (replacing the oil in your brake lines): at least once a year
  • Suspension: on air suspension, most brands recommend a routine service every 50 hours of riding and a full service on all suspension every year for the average rider.
Suspensions require tight bushings and lubrication to work properly while they try their best to keep the dust out of their system. Their oil needs to be flushed and their seals replaced to make sure their internals don’t get damaged over time.
  • Bearings: these are the pivot points within your frame, wheels, drivetrain, and headset. We recommend checking these annually.
Seized bearings can damage the bike’s frame itself and will definitely deteriorate the way your bike feels when riding.
  • Chain wear: Chain wear depends on a lot of factors. While you may not have the tool at home to check yourself, it is definitely important to keep track of your chain wear. Feel free to use our free inspection for this.
  • Chains have pins that transfer your power to the cassette’s teeth. These pins wear out, causing the space between them to increase and the chain to change its shape (what you sometimes hear as chain “stretch”).
  • Failure to replace the chain before it starts damaging the cassette in an irreversible way will be costly: you will now have to replace the chain, the cassette, and the chainring instead of just the chain.

Everything mentioned here is part of our free inspection and we do our best to help you make an informed decision for the maintenance of your bike. Check out all our service packages here.

When you drop off your bike for service, our lead mechanic will take time to listen to your needs and diagnose your bike to make sure we don’t potentially miss anything. He’ll be able to provide you with an informed quote and timeframe based on your needs.
