Michael grew up in a small village in the heart of the Italian mountains, where life often follows a well-worn path. or in his words “the typical lifestyle is to get a boring job, do it for life, and then die”. From an early age, he knew he wanted something different. Determined to build a life around his two greatest passions mountain biking and snowboarding, he spent years pursuing opportunities that would allow him to do exactly that.

Mountain biking eventually brought Michael to Whistler, because if not here, where? He was fortunate to find a home with Arbutus Routes, where he gets to work with bikes while still spending plenty of time on the trails. For him, there’s simply nowhere else in the world quite like this place for riding.

Arriving in Whistler later in life has given Michael a unique perspective. While he feels incredibly fortunate to spend his summers here, he understands that for many visitors, a trip to Whistler is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. That’s one of the reasons he loves being part of the Arbutus Routes team. Their focus on quality ensures that every guest’s adventure lives up to the expectations and dreams that brought them here in the first place
