  • The ride is Private in that it is just your group riding together.
  • Choose to package in one of our full-suspension trail bikes or bring your own. (Pricing options listed below)

When is this tour available?

The trail is typically open from late July to early October due to snow in the alpine. The exact date will be confirmed each season based on the snowpack.

How long does it take to ride Lord of the Squirrels?

We allow a tour time up to 7 hours, most tours complete this tour in 4-6 hours. This is a demanding ride with over 1626 meters of climbing on 35 kilometers of trail. The trails are rated Blue (intermediate), but would be considered a challenging Blue. Our guides have options to adjust the route to your ability, but to enjoy the full loop across the alpine riders should have strong fitness and confidence handling their bike through technical terrain for a long duration.

Are E-bikes allowed on Lord of the Squirrels?

E-bikes are prohibited from the Mount Sproatt and Rainbow Mountain alpine trails (anything above Flank: Lord of the Squirrels, Into the Mystic, With a Twist, On the Rocks, Happy Hour, Pot of Gold, LESS & Don’t Look Back). This restriction supports environmental considerations, user safety and grizzly bear management in the alpine terrain.

We design each tour as a Private Ride in that it will just be your group riding together rather than joining other riders that you don’t know. This way we customize the ride to your exact interests.

Your ride will start right from our Bike Shop. This way our team can fine tune any fit adjustments for your ride and you have the opportunity to pick up any riding apparel at a preferred rate as one of our tour guests.
