Kelly Murphey

Ambassador

Kelly first came to Whistler chasing big mountains, long descents, and the incredible riding
culture of the Sea-to-Sky- and quickly felt at home in the community. He has spent the past
several years guiding and coaching mountain biking in Whistler and Sedona, while continuing to
ride and explore trails throughout British Columbia, the American West, New Zealand, and
Europe.

Drawn to technical terrain, alpine rides, and backcountry-style adventures, Kelly especially
enjoys the blend of technical riding, exploration, and big mountain adventure that mountain
biking offers. Years spent working in trail building, forestry, and wildland fire have shaped Kelly’s
approach to riding and guiding, with a strong appreciation for the landscapes, trail networks, and
stewardship that make these experiences possible.

When not exploring the lesser-traveled corners of Whistler, Kelly can usually be found scoping
untracked lines in the South Chilcotins or chasing endless summer somewhere in the Southern
Hemisphere.
