Gabriel Tweedale

Gabriel is originally from London, UK. During his teenage years, he spent as much time as possible escaping the city to ride bikes in the Surrey Hills, where his riding style was shaped by the short, loamy tracks hand-built by riders such as Sam Reynolds, Brendan Fairclough, and Olly Wilkins. After finishing school, he made the pilgrimage to Whistler and coached in the bike park during the 2019 season, enjoying a summer he’ll never forget.

After returning to the UK to study biology and build a career as a tree-climbing ecologist, Gabriel found himself constantly drawn back to the trails of British Columbia. When he moved back to Whistler in 2025, he quickly connected with the guiding philosophy and community at Arbutus Routes. Excited to share his passion for riding and the local trail network, he’s thrilled to be part of the team.
